Casino Lisboa Macau

Lisboa said to be one of the most famous hotel and casinos in Macau. The casino is owned by the Sociedade de Turismo e Diversões de Macau (STDM), a Stanley Ho company.

The Casino Lisboa is a three-storey complex and was built in the late 1960s.

Meanwhile, the 12-storey round hotel tower was built in 1970. A 270-room extension was added in 1991 for a total of 927 rooms. In 2006, another extension, the Grand Lisboa, was built adjacent to the current complex. Most of the rooms at the Lisboa Hotel Macau offer magnificent views of the South China Sea and major landmarks in Macau.

Like Macau itself, the Lisboa's décor blends Chinese and Portuguese accents, heavily underscored by that old favorite of pirates: gold. On display in the mazelike complex of marble and mosaic are enough glass cases of sculpture and religious ornaments to fill a small museum--the most notable piece being a two-ton block of white jade, carved with scenes from the life of the Buddha. The famed casino hotel Lisboa has years of local history and gaming adventure under its belt.
